I loved this little facsimile. It gives a very poignant connection with what officers and their men in the front line had to deal with - in the kind of detail that makes imagining their daily lives so much easier. The sheer bureaucracy of telling people how to cope with the business of trench life is fascinating.

I bought this to use as an item of props for a production of "Journey`s End" by R.C.Sherriff. I used this with a number of authentic items from WW1 and it gives an interesting insight into everyday life in the trenches.

This is a fab little book. It shows 'trench protocol' - with clear instructions and written in a very precise way. A great little piece of history. A so reasonably priced it is a must for anyone interested in the up and coming WW1 commemoration.

Excellent replica has that dated dis-coloured old paper feel- just what you want from this kind of item- looks realistic for ww1 display
The facts are fascinating too- feels like a real piece of history.

A small booklet but very well produced. It is made to look authentic and both the type and paper used enforces that.
The contents are as any military manual concise and to the point. It is a booklet rather than a manual so there are not many pages but thats how it was produced for the ordinary soldier in WW1.
Highly recommended as a historical reference and a great record of the real booklet issued to the troops

This replica book of rules for the trenches, brings history to life. Was great for my son's key stage 3 history project. Having a copy of something which was genuinely used makes it must easier to relate to how life really was. Fast delivery too

A revealing little booklet, giving an insight into the difficulties of life in the trenches, and makes one wonder how they were affected by the realities.

A good guide to wartime operational duties which book authers and writers seem to forget when concentrating on the details of the main headlines

My father served in the first world war and as children my sister and I would ask questions about it but he would never reveal anything..I think that most men were truamatised

Only a few facsimile pages of the standing orders to troops on how to behave/live/survive/prepare to fight in the trenches. Very quickly read, but interesting.
