Sorry Just too predictable
on 16 August 2013
First off let me say that I find their voices amazing and I feel they ought to have won! That said however, I am disappointed that they have released a 'debut album' as little more than covers.
Andy Abraham released his debut album "The Impossible Dream" way back in 2006 and after one more album he released a 'very best of' album, even though the tracks on his albums were for the better part all 'covers'?
Rhydian Roberts, came onto our screens in 2008 releasing his debut album with "The Impossible Dream" as his first track!
Susan Boyle, then became the next 'best selling artist' from a reality show in 2009 with a debut album of 'covers'!
Another reality singer to hit our screens the same time as Richard and Adam, Jahméne Douglas has his debut album yes you guessed it, an album of 'covers', and I'm sorry I feel the song choices are completely wrong for his voice!
All this of course distracts from the purpose of reviewing Richard and Adams debut album. They have wonderful voices and have done a decent job with the material chosen but I would have preferred an album consisting of new material perhaps with a couple of covers.
The production teams for Mr Cowell seem to focus only on how much revenue they can stretch from our pockets and not on showcasing Richard and Adam as the stars these young men are.
Sorry but all in all I am fed up with singers releasing debut albums consisting mainly of "Covers." I hope that any further albums from Richard and Adam showcase their voices without repeating the same over used covers.
