As others have mentioned, there are better embossing pens on the ,market!Whilst I love the duel end for intricate detail the ink dries way to fast, giving you a window of a few seconds to put powders on. It doesn't work at all if you are using embossing glitters and leaves the end result looking bitty and half done. The worst part is, and I've only just found this out when trying to do my christmas cards, it isn't 100% clear! I thought the blue colour was a guide to help you see where you have covered and having only used it until recently with coloured powders I had no reason to think otherwise. Unfortunately trying to get a clear cover over a christmas picture scene it showed it true capabilities and does not go clear but stays blue! Only faintly but blue all the same! I won't be buying this make again, its not so cheap when you can't use it for what its designed for!

Unlike some other brands of embossing pen I've used, this tends to dry out wicked fast even with small embellishments. By the time I've written or drawn a small design quickly, the embossing powders or glitters are already not sticking to it ending up with me doing it again and getting glitter on the pen. Sometimes then its still not quite as old as should be.

In my opinion, the Ranger pens are far better quality even if the price is higher and they come in sets of two (one being black). Not really impressed with this one.

Still getting used to these - my daughter seems to be a bit better than I am. You have to work fairly quickly to apply the embossing powder afterwards, but it does have the advantage that you can write anything you like in your own hand and then emboss over.
I ordered different colours but you probably only need one.

It's blue. Definitely not clear. The blue shows through on lighter and glitter powders. It's OK for darker and metallic ones. The nib of the brush tip has already started fraying and I've only used it a handful of times. Not great at all.

While I like the idea of the two different nibs for different sizes the ink dries too fast to actually write anything! Even for small words the ink had completely dried so all of the embossing powder came off; other times only some powder would stay on leaving the work very patchy, spoiling the whole look. There are definitely better pens out there, so don't let the duel tip fool you into thinking this pen is a good investment.

Ok if using on coloured card, however I got it do do snow lines and filling etc with clear embossing, the pen has a blue tint, so it isn't clear and shows up on the card

When i used the pen it left a blue mark, after covering with white embossing powder the mark did not disappear. May work better with darker embossing powder.

this works like a charm, just how it should but I do suggest you work it with the embossing powder a little bit at a time.

Great for freehand swirls and swishes or any handwriting then shake on your embossing powder and use your heat gun.

Good for filling in any mistakes when using a stamp. 2 ends allow to choose thickness of line
