This has got to be the best Beth Hart album ever and with great guitar from Joe Bonamassa - these two together sound absolutely fantastic - a must have for sure. If I could I'd have give it more stars - it's that good!

Album number 2 sees joe & beth continuing the direction of the 1st album, mixing blues, rock & roll some rockabilly to great effect.
Beth has the voice that makes this all seem quite spine tingling, add to the mix some blistering guitar from joe and a band on great form makes this an essential purchase.

This is an awesome album “Strange Fruit" atmospheric, recorded at Revolver Studios, Thousand Oaks, CA and The Cave, Malibu CA, Musicians Beth Hart Vocals, Joe Bonamassa Guitar and Vocals, Anton Fig Drums and Percussion, Carmine Rojas Bass, Blondie Chaplin Rhythm Guitar Backing Vocals and Percussion, keyboards by Arlan Schierbaum Organ and Piano (awesome keyboard musician) Lee Thornburg Trumpets and Trombones, Ron Dziubla, Michael Rhodes, Doug Henthorn, Jeff Bova, Lee Thornburg.
With the crew assembled here, excellently recorded studio album live as music was intended in the studio. I wonder what 5.1 surround version would be like?
Can’t recommend enough brilliant.

Is there anything Beth Hart cannot sing? I would say currently Beth Hart is the most talented female singer on planet Earth. Joe does a great job too on this fine collection of songs.

It's hard not to love Beth Hart. I was introduced to her voice in 'Don't explain', being a huge Bonamassa's fan, and boy was I grateful.
Her voice can be jazzy and smooth in one song than blues and gritty in another, she's really an amazing and versatile singer.
Each song in the album was recorded in one single take with all the players in the studio, with very few postproduction's edits. The whole album seems to come from another time, a better time.

not the quietest pressing. it's not bad but it's not perfect. there are some intermittent crackles but not enough to return.

it's not as good as their first collaboration which was brilliant.
