The spectacular sequel to Heather London's "SWIFT" continues the series from where it left off, with added dynamic vigor and energy. This brilliant series about a young girl destined for greatness, who is also a target for many unsavory characters, is refreshingly original and compelling reading. Picking up after book 1 ends (with Meredith stuck in 1905), I pleasantly plunged back into a magical world filled with supernatural suspense and mystery. Unlike many books within this quite competitive genre, I found the author's style wonderfully fluid and this an addictive read.

*Short synopsis:

Meredith thought she was safe. She thought the people she loved would always be there. She was wrong. Just as Meredith begins to embrace her new world, her life is again turned upside down. She finds herself traveling across the world to pursue the one person who has the knowledge and power to help her. As Meredith struggles with whom to trust and what to do next, she is unaware that the biggest battle of her life is fast approaching...

Truly inspired and imaginative this exquisite paranormal romance is a `feel good' read, which leaves you fulfilled and ultimately satisfied by the end of the story. I was greatly impressed by an author whose uniquely identifiable style and assured ability, professed much ingenuity within a diverse and greatly popular genre. This delicately interwoven, stunning tale is utterly enchanting and which takes you on a beautiful journey of love. Attractive characters delight and intrigue you whilst you loose yourself within a tantalizingly tempting tale of intense multi-layered meaning and sublime simplicity. I fell irrevocably in love with this sweet teen romance, which is highly memorable and something that is now forever etched within my memory.

If you love teen romance mixed with fantasy then this paranormal, phenomenal story is just perfect!

I've rounded this up to four stars because Heather London is a good writer and this was a good book. I just felt it could have been great with more detail added to it. There were lots of times when I wondered how the characters made the decisions they did or that I'd missed something. I hadn't, it just wasn't written or it just happened with the author assuming the reader would understand.
Once the story fully started, our heroine Meredith flew to London to meet her hitherto unknown aunt. She meets Collin who becomes her new teacher. Eventually Blake reappears and then the action starts with Jude being introduced as the villain of the piece.
Young teenagers will love it but for me there are too many unanswered questions about the characters.

I'm usually unimpressed with sequels but Crest was the perfect follow-up to Swift! I didn't intend on reading this book in one day but since I had just finished reading book one, Swift, I was very anxious to see if Meredith and Blake were ever going to see each other again. I'm not going to give away any of the plot but I loved this book. I hope Ms. London plans on writing a third book with these characters in it. I want more-lots more.

This was a nice 2 part series.

Its a coming of age story where a girl discovers a secret world of magic exists and that she is actually a powerful witch.

It's a sweet love story really and is light and not dark in any way. Good for teens and those who like happy endings

I chose this rating because it was fun!
But I advise, if you have not read the first book Swift you would not understand it.
Recommended by me! :)
