4.0 out of 5 starsNice printer - better than inkjet

I did a few calcs before buying it and the price per page is looking very good, especially when paired with replacement toner from some lesser known manufacturers. It comes with toner though, and instructions, CD's, power lead, etc, but I've got it set up wirelessly.
The wireless setup was actually much easier than equivalent printers, as some I've used in the past need you to connect to a PC first, then move to wireless, but you can do it all wirelessly from the off. The only slight downside I have is the software and drivers that come with it are a little limited, so you can perhaps print in normal or fine mode, and I did spot toner saver, but you can't (for example) set multiple photos to print on a single page, or half the page in colour, half in mono, etc. Lots of settings that I've seen in more expensive printers just aren't there, but it is actually a budget printer.
It's worth working out how many pages you'll expect to print before buying printers such as these, and I got the printer and a spare set of toners (extra from different supplier) and I expect this to last me around 6 months - not bad for what will be around 25 pounds a month, even if it gives up the ghost after that.
Print quality is good, but depends a great deal on the paper. However, on budget paper, it's quite acceptable and much better than inkjet, with no banding or noticeable artifacts in the print quality. Definitely worth it, but please have someone there to help you carry it, as it is MUCH bigger and heavier than I expected. (If this review is helpful, please give me a thumbs up, as it's nice to know I'm not just writing these for my finger exercises!)
