Put off reading this for a while as I'm not particularly religious and wasn't sure I would enjoy a book with the love interest a priest. I was so wrong! It was a wonderful, engaging story with great characters. I loved Kate and Mark, their journey and struggle - I particularly loved that they were older (a refreshing change). Secondary characters Maeve and Gwynn were also a delight and I enjoyed seeing how their stories turned out. Will definitely be reading more from Barbara Bretton.
Another great romantic story in this "Jersey Strong" series in which As the saying goes ' if you save a life their yours for life ' and in this case it was so true. Some people who have a near Death experience wake up speaking a foreign language or have other attributes that they did n' t have before, or it changes a person's persona, it's quite a phenomenon. But in this case a single very attractive woman in her forty' s who is saved by a handsome Episcopal priest as soon as they.met each other for the first time cupid's arrow shot them both through their hearts and their futures were Destined from that moment onwards, to the delight of her family and their friends for two very kind people who deserved to be happy after both of their past troubles. True love cannot be denied and no amount of fighting it will not deter it. So go with it because it is who you are and it's what everyone in the world would love to have for themselves if they could only find that one specific person, life would be so much better.A great story to read. You can feel the love flowing out of this story to the reader, that takes some doing.
