Now here is something that we would have adored as kids back in the sixties... Not only a great quality and massive figure of our Caped Crusader, but with many thoughtful extras such as a Batarang, a folding Batarang for the pouch which can be fitted onto the Utility Belt if required, a hand held communicator, and even an opening belt buckle which features a comm button underneath.
The figure is very posable, despite many reviews I have seen to the contrary. Yes the joints were pretty stiff to begin with, but soon loosened with a little pressure, and nothing broke off from the figure. An unmistakable likeness of Adam West, in the build and the face make this a lovely display figure, and surely if you are tempted to buy this to put on display, then you simply MUST also acquire the accompanying Burt Ward as Robin figure, which if anything is an even better figure with more hidden joints and a superb likeness in the face, and also comes with many accessories.
So, superb figures in lovely retro packaging, not TOO expensive when compared to the admittedly top notch "Hot Toys" range (BRILLIANT figures, but OUCH to the wallet!), and look great on display. If you are bothered about such things, then I am certain that when these go off the market, they can do nothing but escalate in value, and I can see these bring high prices in years to come. Buy while you can!
Another fantastic neca figure, big and heavy , and the facial features are excellent.Every neca figure I have brought , and I have brought quite a few as have a collector in the family has been very good and certainly not disappointed.
A very good figure that really does look like Adam West playing the 60's Batman. It is very heavy made from solid plastic 18 inches tall, poseable, comes with some great accessories and changeable hands too.
Extremely satisfied! the head sculpt is brilliant and just an all round good quality figure. My only gripe is that the gadgets aren't very good and seem pretty flimsy. All in all though this is a great figure, especially for the price. Plus its huge!
A very nice 1/4 scale 18 inch Neca display collector figure toy but the knee joints won't bend! That will upset a lot purchasers. A tip I got from YouTube. You will have to very carefully use a hot air tool like a paint stripper or a hair dryer around the knee joint to slightly soften and expand the brittle plastic rubber knee or other wise the knee joint will probably snap off, due to a lot of force is needed to try and bend it for posing another up dated method I recently heard on YouTube was using steam from the kettle and thinking of it a electric fan heater would do the job also. So this my reason for 4 star instead off 5 star rating. To me its the batman to get depending on your age.
The head looks very realistic to the 1st and original 1960's TV series batman and has a very nice geeky and classic toy look about it. Comes with posing accessories. I paid £35 second hand eBay new 2014 and I think its worth £45 new. If it becomes rear to get expect to pay Hot Toys price of £120. At the end of the day these should be affordable kids toys and for grown up kids who now have their own money to spend, like buying a comic book and cannot wait for next weeks or month's episode. Since silly prices of £120 at 10 = £1200. Which is not viable for most collectors. Since collecting 20 to 30 + is classed as collecting in my books. I am starting to see in 2015 Neca 1/4 scale 18 in toys in the UK going straight in at dealer prices at £120 and the amount of future and retro toy characters what's going to be made from Marvel, DC, comic books. SCI-FI Movies like Star Wars and new video Gaming characters. And all these genres will have different character versions e.g Iron Man 1, 2, 3... etc..
KAPOW, what a great likeness, WHAM, well worth its money, BAM, great memories from my childhood ! The only downside is when you try to stand him up on display, he is a little top heavy, but that is merely a small quibble. I will now hunt down Burt Ward to complete the pair, and then THWACK, what a sight !
