Worth a purchase if you like mixed martial arts and want a taster of what the UFC had to offer in 2012.

However, buy the Blu Ray not the DVD or you will be short changed and not receive the majority of fights - be warned. The DVD I would give only two and a half stars as there is hardly any content in comparison to the Blu Ray.

There is an overview of the year but many great fights are shown in highlight form only and the fights are so tightly edited that there is a rushed feel to things and the interviews after the fights are generally skipped.

There are some great fights in full but there are others that are conspicuous by their absence. The UFC is a big business and they are blatant in their treatment of the fans - spend, spend, spend if you want to follow the sport. Best of 2012? No chance, they have missed too many great fights out and would rather you buy their full collection. Compared to all the other Best of UFCs this one is better than 2011 but not as comprehensible in its coverage of the best fights of the year when compared to other editions.

Nonetheless the UFC is an exciting format for showcasing MMA and those fights that are covered are generally exciting to watch. Just be prepared that the Best of 2012 is arguably good but short changes the fans to the extent that it cannot be considered great or genuinely the 'Best of 2012'.

comparing it to other ufc review dvd's this is possibly my least favrioute due to the fact that although the knockouts shown are brilliant and some of the fights are very good, there isn't that many full length fights like what you get from the other review dvd's

It's good to own these if your a UFC enthusiast, but how many times will you really watch highlights, everybody has their own opinion of which are the best bouts, there are some good ones and others which I feel should not be on the disc.

I'm taking a star off as the last two years dvd's were better.Hope it's a glitch and 2013 will be covered better. It's still a good watch for the ufc fan that doesn't watch during the year and likes to keep up with everything, but they must keep the quality as in previous years....

Has a good selection of fights with good narrative and build-up and an insight into what has happened in the UFC in the year. The only problem with it is most of the fights aren't full fights. As with "UFC best of 2011", but more so, you are shown the "best bits" of the fights in most cases (though there are a few full fights) in my opinion this just doesn't provide the same experience as watching the full fight unfold. Still decent though, and some good stuff included in the DVD.

This came 4 days after expected delivery and was just rammed halfway in my letter box. This DVD does not work on selected DVD players (I have 3) and also does not work on an xbox. The DVD came with fingerprints and white marks all over the bottom of the disk. Apart from that, the actual DVD itself was great, but I won't be shopping from them again.

For 2012 UFC year in review the format is to follow the UFC as is flies around the world to get fight highlight of every event. This had some of the greatest fight moments in the UFC, but even the highlights felt like they were being rushed. I much preferred the division by division format of 2010 and 2011. Great moments for the UFC, but I world have preferred more background, fighter interview, and of course the fights. I guess more in general. Great moments but I don't think this format worked well.
