Print quality is excellent and performs well. Quite large so not ideal for small homes. It turns itself off if not used for a while, a good eco feature, but as as a WiFi printer it still requires physically going to the printer to turn it on to print. Therefore printing from a lap top has little advantage over a standard printer connecting via USB.
Update 2017 The prints had a dirty mark and the rollers need to be cleaned. Canon support confirm that " -"accessing the cleaning program of your i-SENSYS LBP7110Cw, we can advise you the following. After doing some extensive testing with the i-SENSYS LBP7110Cw with Mac OS X 10.12 we have come to the conclusion that there is no way for a Mac device to start the cleaning/maintenance procedures remotely. As the manual for Mac devices shows Windows processes it is apparent that it is not possible to start any utilities from the Mac. Testing it through USB, ethernet or wirelessly has made no difference." You have access to a Windows PC or laptop to initiate the cleaning in the device, so you can continue using the printer with your Mac after that.
It's certainly solidly built. It took quite an effort to install it under my computer desk. It is quiet and produces the first page quickly. I bought it to replace my two year old Samsung CLP printer which kept jamming after one page (as did my previous one.) I have much more confidence this Canon will give me plenty of years of faithful, jam-free service. Along with Canon's £40 cash back promotion and three year warranty this was a steal.
