Some sensible ideas, nice simple easy read. Still can't beat Lofties book, the best, but that's a big read and covers all over the World and every scenario. This is a useful simple refresher. By the way try those round flat cotton wool make up pads with Vaseline smeared on one side. They roll up in foil really small and stay alight with a healthy flame for at least 2 minutes, ideal for getting kindling going and cost very little to make.

Newbie confused by survival tins. Gives you a starting point with the what and whys of building your own tin with a no rubbish approach. Set against the individualistic personal and environmental needs. Thoroughly recommend. Only wished it had provided more information of use in other situation.

This is a no nonsense guide that gets straight into actionable points. Its to the point and i liked it for that. it's better than the entirely nonsense material I got from a recent survival course that was bought for me as a present. As well as referring to it as I re-spec my survival tin, I'll read this again from cover to cover for sure.

A short concise read, short enough to keep your attention, but has enough information to provoke what you should consider having in you're own survival tin, in what ever situation you are likely to be in or whether you have one in the car, one for holidays abroad and walking the dog. a good buy

A great little read about odds and sods that you can fit in a can and may save your life if you get into difficulties. Recommended to walkers and outdoorsy people!

there are many such books on the market; loads of free advice and personal offerings on the net, especially YouTube. This is a reasonably good read and well worth the price (?).

This "book" is so short that it is bad value for money even at Eighty pence.
There is hardly anything original, and nothing that hasn't been covered much better in John "Lofty" Wiseman's Survival Handbook.
