Made my day
on 21 December 2012
I've been dying for this book to come out after interviewing Aurelia and reading the excerpt, so it's no surprise I finished it the same day. Christmas is Cancelled doesn't read like a book by a debut author. The sexual tension and conflict sucks you right into the story. It begins with everything in Tilly's life falling to pieces, and she almost did, but I admired how she held it together and forced herself to go on when I'd have probably crawled into my bed and cried for a week. Poor Dean struggled to keep his hands to himself, and hide his secrets, because of a promise he'd made to his best friend ten years earlier. He's an intoxicating mix of noble, sensitive, alpha and drop dead gorgeous.
Aurelia mixes the perfect blend of fun, sizzling and anticipation so much so the book is very hard to put down. The conflicts are original, the setting beautiful and she has this way of dragging you into the story so it feels like you are there, standing on top of a freezing cold mountain in the Lake District witness to a saucy snowball fight. I can't wait for more from this very talented debut author. Soon, please :o)
