There is a large range of covers for iPhones on the market already, including some very robust rubber and plastic shells. This cover is designed not to protect against impact but to protect against water and sand for example.

They would be ideal when using a phone on the beach in the summer, or for anyone who works manually and needs to protect their phone from dirt, paint, oil etc. Essentially they are a simple, sealable, micro-thin plastic sleeve; nothing hi tech but nicely practical for the right person.

This has to be oldest marketing gag in the book. 'Protect your iPhone' (Quantity: 10) claims to do all the magical and wonderful things that, apparently, other products can't (protecting your device from "potentially damaging environments"), but is done in such a fashion that the splurge of information on the cover is designed to cloud your logic. It even goes to the lengths of specificity, reinforcing the notion that this product is some kind of technological breakthrough.

Protect your iPhone against Water, Snow, Paint, Food, Grease, Dust, Drink, Mud, Grime, Sand, Sweat, Grit, Sun cream, Germs, Oil, and more.

If all that's not enough, you can even Text, Talk, Email, Read, Watch and Play. I didn't see 'Web Browsing' listed, so I should guess the product doesn't allow this...

... Who am I kidding, of course it does. 'Protect your iPhone' is nothing more than a basic Grip Seal bag - the kind that you can buy in bulk at pocket money price. This product functions no differently and has zero benefits, so don't waste your time investing in this supposed protection.

Does your phone every ring when you are cake making, painting, at the beach, covered in suncream or out and about somewhere messy? Mine too. These disposable bags fit over your iPhone 3/4/5 and make it muck proof.

As other reviewers have said, you can use a freezer bag or sandwich bag and it will do the same thing as these iPhone bags.

However, these fit better which means using the touchscreen is easier. No folding the bag over to stop the excess plastic sliding around like with a freezer bag. With my Apple iPhone 4S 16GB SIM-Free - Black with a Speck PixelSkin HD Case for iPhone 5 - Black it is a snug fit but can be used one handed.

These bags are essential for anywhere where kids, suncream, sand, paint, dirt or oil are near your phone. If the bag gets covered in muck then chuck it out and start the next one. They are not fully waterproof as the seal would have to be a foldover type so no swimming with it but otherwise this does the job perfectly. We have a couple in our beach bags and a couple in the kitchen for if the kids are cake making.

These are basically re-sealable bags that would help with keeping your phone clean and dry if you are using it in very dirty environment. However, they are nothing more than your standard re-sealable bag, that's roughly the size and shape of a smart phone. The sizing is generous and leaves room at each side of my iPhone, which in return makes typing harder, as the phone keeps moving in the bag.

The bags are not of the best quality with plastic bits hanging off the seals. Although I am pretty certain the bags will protect my phone from water, I would not be rushing to test them anytime soon, due to their quality.

If you already have some sort of phone cover/ protection, the only time I would see these bags will come in good use, is if you are going to be in an extreme environment and exposed to the elements. Given their price though, you would be probably better off using standard re-sealable bags instead.

Essentially a polythene sleeve that covers and protects your iPhone this nevertheless works very well and is a very good fit (as a purpose-made product should be). The plastic sheath is very sheer and once the phone is inserted and the air pushed out it seals itself to the surface of the phone making touch-typing on the capacitive screen as indistinguishable in feel from what it would 'out of the bag' (and the phone is as responsive too). When making calls the outgoing audio to a receiving caller was loud and clear whereas incoming calls were marginally quieter (although well within acceptable limits). While I wouldn't expect it to make your phone waterproof I'm confident it would be at least splash-proof so offers good protection from pretty much everything else.

In conclusion this is a simple, well-made and effective product that I believe offers good value (particularly as each cover can be used over and over).

These are ziplock bags for your iphone. They will fit a iphone 4/S and 5 with slim cases. They work well at protecting it from the environment (I took mine walking and it was safe from rain and mud) whilst still registering your finger on the touchscreen. They won't fully waterproof it however.

You could probably do the same with a freezer bag from the supermarket, and I tore one whilst opening it, so although they can be reused they will have a limited lifespan.

However, if you insist on using your phone on the beach, or navigate in bad weather, this is probably worth it. One star off for the build quality.

This is basically a mini grip bag for the iPhone.
Not a new innovation , but one that although basic - works .
The phone's touchscreen works while the phone is in situ but they are not of brilliant quality and to use them you will need to remove your phone from it's protective case and thus risk damage if you drop it !
They are probably only necessary if you must take your iPhone somewhere with very extreme wet or dirty conditions. Otherwise leave your phone safely in its own hard case.

These are little plastic bags to protect your iPhone.

The seal is pretty good so it's ideal if you want to try wading through a river with your iphone in your jeans, but I wouldn't recommend it. It would be genuinely useful for sandy beaches and the like.

As claimed, the touchscreen on the phone still works fine, even with another screen protector fitted. The size fits the iPhone 4 pretty well - probably too short for an iPhone 5.

I have to admire the concept as a temporary protective layer for taking your phone somewhere more extreme than usual. And it does just that! Will keep sand or water out of your phone on occasional use somewhere that you wouldn't normally take your phone. It is however just a bag and a standard freezer bag is just as effective and somewhat cheaper if a little less neat!

Does what it says, yes. Better than a freezer bag, well ... no, sorry!

The bags are really just tiny freezer bags. Good for keeping sand, grease etc off your phone and you can still use the phone through it. Of course you could just wrap phone in cling film to achieve the same effect!
