This slim book makes some interesting points and I can see what it is trying to be - an equivalient, for The Four Quartets, to Southam's 'A Student's Guide to the Selected Poems of T S Eliot'. While that Student's Guide was useful when I was at school in the 80s now we have the internet. Lots of this sort of information (and more) is available if you Google properly. The e-book version of this book also has a layout that's rather unreadable on my kindle. Perhaps authors need to send time and check formatting before they publish their books?

The Four Quartets is a book with many allusions or partial allusions; so this little book is of considerable utility. Eliot possessed wide scholarship; most readers will require such a guide.

Not for the uninitiated reader of The Quartets. Often does not illuminate Eliot's meaning, but then who could? Helen Gardner?

The way forward is the way back.
Approach to the meaning restores the experience in a different form.
Thank you
