This film is the type that the British do best - all the more strange then that it was directed by Dustin Hoffman! The stars are all perfectly cast and no one steals the show more than the others.
One of the nicest parts is that the "other' retired musicians resident at Beecham house are all, in fact, genuine retired musicians. Look out for the top ex-BBC Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinettist Colin Bradbury!
This soundtrack album is a lovely reminder of the film and I can play it over and over and over again!
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
