The orchestra playing is less satisfying. And at times rather unstylish and uninvolved. Its not on the spiritied level of Freiburger Baroque orchestra or the forces used by Reneé Jacobs nor Biondi. There are some good singing and the arias are fairly well sung. This is a live recording. And the stage noise is audible during the recitatives.
An extremely enjoyable piece of music - beautifully performed. J C Bach's operas are will worth reviving, so this is a welcome addition to the Opera catalogue. More please, he is, after all, "The London Bach"
