Great content... appalling packaging!
on 21 December 2012
A host of high profile musicians pay tribute to blues guitar legend BB King in this documentary, featuring Morgan Freeman as narrator. Jon Brewer's film takes us back to BB's roots living in poverty in Mississippi and a little more of his music would have been nice, but the interviews are both warm and enlightening.
However, the plastic case of the DVD is the flimsiest I've ever seen, little short of appalling, and my DVD disc had become detached from its retainer within the case and was scratched in transit as a result (although the disc plays OK). One of the retaining clips for a document insert was also broken, but as there is no paper insert that matters little.
Would have liked to give this DVD a higher rating, but the case is so appallingly poor I can't justify it.
