Home projectors are more affordable now that ever, being my first i decided to go for a brand with good reputation.
Decided on the Epson 5350 3LCD which has wireless networking so you can stream/mirror from phone or tablet etc using your installed apps, best to Install Epson iprojector app as helps with streaming contains a remote as well. (Supplied one not back lit)
Have hdmi connected upto my A/V amp for films, and shield tv box for Prime/Netflicks,youtube etc.
The menu screens made setup easy and straightforward (never had to read manual on cd) Out of box picture settings were good, did tweak them abit later.
No 3D glasses included, but tried the ones from my 2011 samsung D8000 and they worked perfectly.
At £599 this projectors gives an excellent colourful hd picture, black levels not as good as the more expensive models so a dim/dark room is best for films.
No problem viewing daytime tv channels as most programs have bright studio lights.
Projector is well specify and better than some others in this price range, check out vids on YouTube.
My budget was for a higher spec model such as the 6 series from Epsom but glad I stepped down.
Very happy all round with this new purchase.
Like me i don't think you will be disappointed glad made this choice.

Excellent projector.
So far, I have only used it for slide shows which can be projected in "PC - free mode", i.e. directly from a usb memory stick, without requiring a laptop.
One limitation on this sort of use is that it will not project "progressive" jpeg files. Such files are not easy to identify at first sight - they have the same extension as standard jpegs, i.e. .jpeg or .jpg Use of photoshop will identify them - if you press save, you are asked do you want baseline jpeg, optimised baseline, or progressive jpeg, and the existing file type is preselected. That is no help if you don't have access to photoshop, and I know no other way of identifying progressives apart from "try it and see"

Video fluid motion is good. I found the TW5300 actual color depth is 12 bit, this specification is better than the site marked the specifications.

I am giving this a mediocre score at present.I am instantly having issues with visual interference when playing 3d movues, also the picture is blacking out for a few seconds every so often,I understand this is not an isiolated incident.I have contacted epson customer services ,and I am waiting on a reply.

I love it. It's my first projector ever so cannot compare but it's what I wanted. The picture is great, even for gaming. Input lag is barely noticeable, but the picture processing must be set to FAST.
The only downside is the fan, it's too loud when projector works in dynamic mode. My high end PC with 4 fans is more quiet, even on full load.

i could only wish if i had gone for 70000 contrast ratio model. The brightness of the model is sufficient for evening and night viewings. The sharpness of the image could be better but its all down to contrast ratio. over all this model is good value for money and good for watching movies.
Not a replacement for your TV though. it was able to fill 75% of a 5 meter wall from a distance of 3 meters. fan is bit noisy but in movies you will hardly notice that.
