if it's going to be an un-original story plot, at least make it interesting and well written!

I have tried to read this book, honestly I have! But I have given up half way through I have read some truly bad books in my life yet this is the only one which gives me a migraine after reading but a few pages. The plot is generic and could be better thought up by a 12 year old dungeons and dragons player. The author doesn't develop the plot in a way that is natural but rather shoves the plot developments and characters down the readers throat. It all happens too fast and the story too poorly written to accommodate for the extreme pace. The characters have no substance past their name and the one paragraph used to introduce them, especially the main characters who just annoy the hell out of me! The female lead was interesting for about two pages before I wanted to scream at her, her attitude towards being thrown into a world of magic and Fey is wishy-washy and unrealistic. And this 'bad boy' fire fairy is simply pathetic, his behaviour is contradictory to the harsh environment the author tries and fails to build up - he meats a "human" girl in an abandoned building, who tells him she hears voices in her head, where he just fought with an enemy, so 'naturally' he shows her his true form and welcomes her into the heart of his realm on nothing but a hunch and the word of a human which should mean nothing to him! He's about as bad ass as a small child watching a 12A rated movie.
