Excellent memoir of a much misunderstood and maligned woman who simply fell in love with the future king of Britain. Her later life seemed so sad that the memoir completely changes your perception of her and since Diana Mitford knew her that is perhaps the intention

It is very well written as the author, like her sisters, knows how to put a story across well.
Another angle on the life of the Duchess of Windsor made for excellent reading and gave us an insight into the difficulties both she and Duke had to contend with. .

Other biographies have been written since ,and not all of them flattering, but this memoir, written from the perspective of a personal friend gives us a different glimpse of this much discussed and sometimes maligned couple. Interesting and worth a read.

A very lazy and uninformative book. There are some personal recollections but no real depth at all and I would not waste your money. Funny as Diana Mosley was an alleged intellect and an avid reader but this book does not reflect either of those things.

A fairly informative account of her life; to many of us she was just the designing woman who upset the monarchy in Great Britain. This account shows another side to Wallis Simpson who through her strengths and talents captivated our king!

Well written and surprisingly readable account of Wallis Simpson's life. But Diana Mitford was a friend of the Windsors and this account has to be read in that light. Sometimes she goes over the top in her praise of the couple.

Found this a good read and well written, really enjoyed it. Diana Mitford writes extremely well I had not realised that she was one of Wallis Simpson;s friends, I like reading about this period of the 20th century.

An interesting insight to a relationship that survived against the odds.
Wallace was a remarkable woman who loved the man but was prepared to give it all up for HIS country.
Easy read and good photographs.

A very well written book, so good I couldn't put it down.
It was very interesting, and gives a good insight to what went on at the time.

What a wonderful story,he was not treated right, and it hurt him
so much that even his wife was an out cast.
It was a pity they never had children.
If this was power and money does KEEP it
