Reassuringly tight fit, well made, genuine leather, cheap - Recommended!
on 26 January 2013
A genuine leather pouch for under £4? I was dubious when I placed the order but I've got to say I'm rather pleased with it. It's really well made, the stiching is very unlikely to come apart and my Razr i fits in perfectly - it's a reassuringly tight fit and there's no way it'll fall out when you hold it upside down, especially given the strap that fixes over the open end of the pouch. Not difficult at all to get in and out, as one reviewer has claimed. If there's one part of the whole pouch that will fail first, it'll be the velcro fastner for the strap, but I don't see it failing any time soon. Obviously to take your phone out you must pull the strap, which lifts your phone out the pouch.
The leather is a smooth finish, much like a blackberry case. Easily capable of preventing scrapes and damage to your razr i, should you drop it on the ground.
Downsides would be the belt loop on the back - not convinced many people would be fastening this to their belt so it's a bit of a useless feature, adding unecessary bulk, in my opinion. That said, it's really quite flush to the case, so hardly noticable. #2 downside would be the velcro tab, not convinced it's needed to ensure the phone doesn't slip out the pouch, and it does stick out by a good 5mm, which can catch on your pocket. That said, you get used to after a while and hardly noticable.
For £4 would I recommend it and would I buy it again? Absoloutely.
