'Ballet Statique' original album title 'Con'.
CD is limited to 1000 copies on the minimal label (mine is 669/1000) .
CD includes the 5 tracks from Ballet Statique/Con, plus the 30 minute bonus track ' Red Cassette' from 1974 (the long version of 'Zug', with the track mix split hard left and hard right through the speaker channels).
A download code is included for stereo mixes, the CD is packaged in a jewel and slipcase with both album names printed and a 24 page booklet of photos and text.
Ballet Statique/Con has a run time of approx 34 minutes (not including bonus track).
A collectors item for fans such as myself and a good starting point for those curious to glimpse the electronic world of Conrad Schnitzler.

without a doubt conrads best album. lovely pure cold electronics with a superb production. sounds like it could have been made tomorrow. grab it quick b4 it vanishes. however the bonus of the red cassette is a bit much 30 mins of a low fi zug... bit hard going.. still be churlish to grumble. probably will tho..

Also known as Con on Egg records from 1970's, this album made Con an international name with five bonus tracks from the Container Cassette Series. The Cd is produced by Peter Baumann formerly of Tangerine Dream, around this time Peter Bauamnn also produced Cluster - Grosses Wasser and released his own CD Trans Harmonic Nights. All three CD's are EXCELLENT. Anyway to Review this CD.... well I LOVE it, and have had the LP Con in collection for nearly 25 years. The extra five tracks on this CD are a real bonus and well worth hearing and obtaining. The music has a raw power which is distinctly belonging to the world of Conrad Schnitzler, but Peter Baumann gave them a sort of TD orientation and wider appeal. This really is sound architecture in a primitive and elegant state that you will either love or hate. Before buying any other Con CD try this first as this will lend perspective to all later and previous releases by him. [RayH] Munt1
