A rivetting book - a true story - It arrived earlier than promised - couldn't put it down until the end. This was recommended by a tour guide whilst on holiday in County Cork & Kerry in September.

very informative, wide ranging, well researched and brings to light a forgotten part of history which should be read by anybody interested in English / Irish history.

Not convincing- neither fact or fiction. Too much repetition-of events. Did make me research the ancestors of the Dutch born pirate.

Fascinating account of the abduction of the 107 men women and children, Excellent research and well founded re-construction of slave conditions in Algeria.
