Does what it says it will, but other software does it better
on 7 June 2014
Project is reasonably good planning software, but not as good as the competition. I prefer PowerProject, but MS Project is only 2/3ds the price. You pays your money and takes your choice.
Some reviewers have highlighted difficulties with installation. I had none at all. I think it may be important, if you have previously installed MS Office to have installed the 32bit version, just as Microsoft recommend, and not the 64bit. Why anyone would produce two versions of the software and then recommend the one that sounds inferior (intuitively 64bit sounds better than 32 bit) should be used beats me, but that seems to be the issue.
