I have used a linen press for nearly ten years, and my old one packed up. I have a holiday let so need a functioning machine and decided to buy a new one. I only do the equivalent of a families ironing per week so it doesn't get over-used.
This product seemed to be what I wanted for a reasonable price but the first one I received the steam burst didn't work. The company kindly replaced it, and the second one worked for about 3/4 weeks then the power went off and although I checked the fuse the press wouldn't work, so I contacted the seller and after a few exchanges of emails they again kindly sent a new one. I was delighted it came so quickly and started ironing straight away - however once turned on and filled with water I noticed a puddle of water across my ironing table - the reservoir leaked! So in total three useless machines! I now have three linen presses which don't work properly, and would definitely not recommend this press unless the seller thoroughly checks it is in working order before despatch! I checked the third one by opening it up and saw that the base of the reservoir was not sealed to the rest of it, and water just poured out straight away - a bit dangerous when you think of the electrical wiring inside!
To be fair it is the manufacturer's fault not the company which sells them and they were kind enough to refund my original payment (less £20), so they can't be completely to blame!
