These 7 album spread over 4 Cds represent excellent value for money and a great way to acquire a lot of music for the cost of 1 CD.
But Amazon don't list which classic albums are included nor the track listing.

So I have done it to help you.

The Cover boasts that these seven classic albums have been Digitally Enhanced for Superior Sound which should add to their attraction for the potential buyer.

No criticisms of the music which is fantastic. But squeezing 7 albums onto 4 CDs means some album are split across CDs which makes it difficult to play individual albums.

Hard Bop at its best. Representative of the magic era when Bluenote recorded one good record after another, with the best support that talent could enjoy. Great composer. Good piano player with excellent taste.
Embedded data on CD is wrong in many cases and even lists the wrong recording for one CD.

Horace Silver was one of the great jazz pianists of the twentieth century and had the ability to inspire great performances from his sidemen. His bands always had a recognisable Silver sound that, for me at least, kept developing and consequently never grew stale. If you don't know him, this is a good introduction to his work.

I remember many years ago first hearing 'Senor Blues' and was immediately addicted to Sliver's hard bop . I already was well aware of his playing but his later playing included these, to me, wonderful compositions. I cannot restrict my enthusiasm for his music to this day. If you can escape the utter banality of to -day's pop scene and you like music with drive and rhythm then listen to these albums - a real bargain to have them on discs that won't fade . Horace died recently here is what he was about and the music speaks for itself. Wonderful.
