This is the third or fourth book I have read by this author. I wasn't sure how I would get on with the life of Tulisa. She is quite young for a biography and on television she comes across as being a bit pleased with herself. However, I was hooked after the first few pages. The detail about her musical family and her Greek and Irish heritage was fascinating and that was before she had to face up to her parents' split and her mother's ill health. She definitely had to grow up too quickly. What I liked about the approach of this book was that the author doesn't sensationalise it as a newspaper might have done. Her life doesn't need that. We aren't told what to think when, at seventeen, Tulisa slit her wrists in a cry for help. We get to make up our own minds which is rare in this sort of book.

omg.. if you are a true ndubz fan (yeah, n dubz - not x factor) wanting to know a bit more about the leading lady.. dont buy this!!! if you wanna know what she said word for word for every x factor auditon.. haha, this'll be your cuppa tea. i'd recommend people buy the ndubz autobiography "street life to chart life" as it actually comes from the cats mouth and doesn't skip through things.. this author is only interested in x factor and kelly rowland.. and i aint learnt no more good goss - aint a happy bunny. sugar coats everything.. didn't go on at all about her bullying, girl gang days just what she wore on the x factor... (learnt more stuff about dappy and fazer then her!!) save your pennies and buy her book coming out in september x x x

A good book. I found it to be an easy read, but it was nice to lean more about Tulisa. Over all a good holiday read.

***** 5 Stars!

I was very interested in Tulisa but wasn't sure I actually liked her much. I have to say I liked her a lot more after reading this book. My small criticism would be that the author is maybe too nice to her but I found myself cheering her on especially after her rotten early life. I will be watching her on TV with a lot more respect from now on.

This book has great appeal for teenage lovers of celebrity autobiographical outpourings. It is probably of less interest to the older generation
