There's no doubt that Issa is a rock artist with strong pop influences, but that's no bad thing: she's got a very strong voice, with which the backing instruments go perfectly. The songs are insanely catchy with an infectious beat. I'm a dedicated fan of female-fronted symphonic metal, and found the feel-good, upbeat but still feisty songs on 'Can't Stop' a healthy break from all the doom and gloom in a lot of metal music. I found 'Dream On' a particularly good all-rounder song; upbeat and light-heartedly inspiring in any situation. I took one star off just because, being picky, the lyrics (while, as I say, very catchy and good for singing along to) could be a little more imaginative. Still, if you're not looking for a momentous philosophical breakthrough in song lyrics, and if you're not an all-pop-is-cheesy-can't-stand-it person, 'Can't Stop' is definitely worth having; a real summer pick-me-up album.
This album is the most consistent of the three she has made. All good rock tracks and not a duff one amongst them. As on the previous albums she has used high quality backing musicians so it feels like a band rather than just a solo artist.
