One of my all time favourite films. VERY funny and even though I have it on dvd, I didn't have it to hand at the time so ordered it to stream from Amazon as it is a film that is definitely worth the price. If you are wanting a chilled evening with your partner then this film is one for the guys and girls with lots of humour and a happy ending.

The film sees Cal (Steve Carell) separate from his high school sweetheart wife played by Julianne Moore, after she cheats on him. The film focuses on Cal as he hangs out in single bars watching the ladies fall for Ryan Gosling's ladies man act. Ryan's character feels sorry for Cal and becomes his mentor and teaches him his moves. A funny film in places probably not the greatest comedy I've seen so far this year but worth a look even if it's just to see Ryan Gosling get his kit off.

The funny bits were very funny, but there weren't enough of them. Too heavy & too soppy on the sentimental family side of the story, like many American movies.

What can I say?
Another bottom bucket C movie made by unknowns for peanuts whichAmazon Prime specialises in.

Quite honestly, I have given up even using Prime movies, they really, really are total rubbish

We like Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. A little too serious at times for a comedy, but we enjoyed it.
