Miles said. you could give the history of jazz in two names " Louis and Charlie" (Armstrong and Parker) . I would add Lester Young to those named and all the tenor players who followed his way. Getz here in earlier days is superbly lyrical and his sound is very nearly equal to that of Herbie's . Listened to these for many years but ,thanks to Amazon, now carry them around with me. Marvellous.
Getz, a tenorman renowned for cool restraint, can really buck the trend when required, To show that, you must purchase this stunner, his licks will amaze all who listen to this CD/MP3.If you play sax, this will make you put it down, and have a rethink!!??
