This debut album by Liverpool band 'By The Sea' is just wonderful!!!! Think early Stone Roses, The Go-betweens, merseybeat and a little slice of Shoegaze. Drift off to this album last at night, its just superb. I only wish it lasted longer and contained more tracks, as they have recorded some other beauties that did not make this record.

Also Bill Ryder-Jones is on production duties, and that dude is a genius.........(former Guitarist in THE CORAL)

Highly recommended.............

This is a really lovely album, wistful, strong songs, and excellent musicianship. I liked it first listen and it continues to grow on me. Timeless Liverpool sound.

I bought this on the strength of the 3 previous reviews and the comparison to early Stone Roses. Wow. What an album. Relaxing, yet at times majestic in sound, this just oozes class, on every track. The only downside is that it's only 30 odd minutes long - over too soon - so the simplest thing to do is to put it on again, and again, and again. Best album of the last few years, can't wait for the follow-up.
