Great insight into the legend that was/is Robbie Hunter-Paul. True insight into what makes him tick both on and off the field. Not just an account of his life but also reads as a self help book with aids at the end of chapters to advance yourself both in and out of sport to harness that need to excel attitude to achieve. Also a good account of life after being a world class sportsman and how to fill the void when not competing. A must read for any up and coming elite sportsman.
I really enjoyed this book. I have been a keen Bradford Bulls fan for over 30 years. I have watched Robbie from his first game at Bradford, and throughout his rugby career. I was delighted to receive this book for Christmas from my eldest son and found the book quite fascinating. To hear of Robbie's childhood before he became a professional and then coming over to England was a joy. Thanks Robbie
I am about half way through this excellent book on my e-book.It is very interesting, seems honest, and is a true reflection of of this great Rugby League players, upbringing, early start in the game, and other various ideas from his mind.A wonderful written and thoughtout book.,l wish all books were like this one.
...Interesting idea to mix the lifestory with personal motivation segments. I have ways admired Robbie's knack of keeping a fresh perspective on Rugby League as a 'product' and this book continues the trend. Honest, funny in parts and insightful throughout.
