The War Room E.P. was, and is a brilliant record. The War Room Remixed E.P. takes some tracks (Spitfire, If War Should Come, Dig For Victory, London Can Take It), and remixes them excellently, but not to the point of losing the originals. In too many cases, 'Remix' means bin the original, and put your own tune out as a remix, even if it has no relationship with the original work. This record is not one of those, and it is brilliant. If you know, and love the originals, then you will still find them here, subtly twisted and stretched into new, but still beguiling forms. Public Service Broadcasting always take great, and loving care with their releases, and it shows. A worthy companion to the original E.P.
Love this EP, mixing sampling/electronica with swirling guitar riffs. Be sure to check out their terrific debut album " Inform, Educate, Entertain". PSB are one of the most exciting upcoming groups in the UK.
This is an unusual album but is interesting and grabbing. Oration of bits about the war with more chilled out music is a good combination and works really well. I think most people would enjoy this and should have it in their collection. David Wilson
