Pretty much what you'd expect really.Turn off your brain and enjoy the silliness. It's basically Men In Black with ghosts instead of aliens but not as good.Plus, something I've noticed in a lot of his films lately,Jeff Bridges mumbles his lines and you can hardly understand what he's saying.I think younger viewers will enjoy it more.

Whoever chose to cast Ryan Reynolds in this needs to go and have a good long talk with themselves.

R.I.P.D. is a great idea, the souls of corrupt law enforcement have to spend a period of time capturing the escaped dead before they can achieve redemption for themselves, but a clunky script and Reynolds everything they can to ruin it.

Without a doubt one of the loopiest films ever.
Jeff Bridges over acts in the best possible way and is countered brilliantly by Ryan Reynolds.
Daft story only helps to make this a great fun film

Some say its a rip off of MIB formular. Maybe but its a 3.5. The humour in places were excellant, although one or two things don’t add up, running the movie back in your mind. Also chopping up the timeline is rarely done well and detracts from the movie. I felt some scenes at the start could have been cut so that the female cop got more screen time, that or make the movie longer.

All the hype recently about sounds problems with films and not being able to hear the dialogue clearly applied to this film. Because of that we sort of switched off mentally and just 'watched' the film rather than enjoy it! It was most annoying to listen to Jeff Bridges southern drawl if that's what it was? Sounded like he had a mouthful of tabacco that he needed to spit out as they did in Westerns!

A fun film, with a very good cast, and an unusual story that works very well.
When police officer is killed by a crooked cop,he finds himself recruited into the RIPD, and partnered with old west lawman played by Jeff Bridges. The two stars are on good form and have a nice comic touch.

film is easy to watch but did not meet expectations. from the cast and the trailer you are led to expect humour and good special effects with the monsters etc however this is not the case unfortunately. little to no humour and the main bad guy kevin bacon was a disappointment as quite frankly did not look all that different when 'showing' hi8s monster side. good to watch and not too disappointed due to bargain price was bought for but glad did not spend much on it as would not recommend to buy. the kind of film you'd watch if on tv but wouldn't go out of your way to watch or buy.

THis is a rather standard formula but with an unusual twist. There are moments of great humour, plenty of action and even traces of a plot. While not requiring a great deal of brian power to watch it did provide and enjoyable evening.
Thinking about it, it was far and away better than anything on TV...not that that is saying very much these days.

I first saw this a few months ago at my friend's house on Blu-ray, so had to get it for myself as I'm a huge Ryan Reynolds fan. His humour doesn't disappoint in this film & it's full of action. It's slightly bittersweet too, which makes it a good all-rounder.

A bit out there film, but in saying that is was also quite funny in places and definitely worth a watch. Probably best suited to teen or young adults...
