From the first chapter I was drawn in. The characters and their relationships are captured brilliantly, its like reading about your own friends and family. You are taken on a adventure with mystery, magic and mayhem. I would say this is a great read for anyone who enjoys escaping to world where anything is possible.
I bought this book for my niece who is 7. I thought I would read it first (just to make sure it was suitable you understand) and I loved it. The characters are excellent and I genuinely found it hard to put the book down as I wanted to see what was going to happen next. I love that the book isn't at all patronising and whilst I did question if some of the 'big' words would be understood by my niece it was my limiting belief that was the barrier - I wasn't giving her (or her peers) the credit they deserve. I will be getting my niece the two other books in the trilogy. (Don't let on but I'll be the first to read them lol)
