Blandings the series was originally aired by the BBC in 1967 and the episodes were later wiped. This series re-creates six stories about Lord Emsworth and family, Blandings, the Empress and is brilliant!

Ignore the Jeeves and Wooster comparisons, P. G. Wodehouse would have been appalled to think his carefully drawn characters could be compared, they're all very much individuals as are the stories.

Timothy Spall captures Lord Emsworth's "reedy tenor" beautifully and Constance is terrifying! As for Freddy, well, he's in a class of his own.

This is light entertainment at its best, comedy fun for all the family, just sit back and enjoy the delightful world of P. G. Wodehouse and then buy the books!

This series condenses P.G Woodehouses Blandings tales into 6 episodes. Acting is superb. Characters so colourful. Script witty, bright and sunny especially on a cold winters day
