This product will do what you want it to do, however there is no on/off button! This means you have to remove the batteries every time you want to switch the thing off. The literature says that this is to ensure against damage from leaking batteries. However i'm more inclined to think its a cynical move to save a bit of money on manufacture.

1200D compatible! works great with mine.

This is the same as all the other lower brands remotes.
Negative point: No power Off. You always have to remove batteries after every session.
Not practical at all in that respect. Not at 2-3am if you're an astro photographer.

Otherwise it's a good product.

As soon as you touch the plastic of this, you realise how cheaply made it is. Disappointingly so. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with it. It works. It gets low stars due to the yucky feel plastic (it's actually quite ergonomic and a smoother or better finish would rightfully gain it another star). The light goes out too quickly (less than 5 seconds). When you are trying to set times in low light, you have to keep switching the light back on repeatedly. The labels could be better, LONG means exposure time, N is number of exposures. The LCD underline bar for the labels is hard to see as it is in the shadowy recess of the screen.

Setting the durations can be a bit long-winded (scrolling through the numbers), but it is very simple at least, a great benefit.

You can't switch this off. This is really annoying! You have to remove the batteries. For this alone I think I've been generous to give three stars.

It's clear that another ten minutes in the product development department could have finished this product properly – and actually made it a lovely 5 star item. I am compelled to write this review as the item could be so much better. I cannot see where the cost of the item is justified. I'm amazed Polaroid have stuck their name on it. That was my first thought on picking it up.

However, it is very functional. You need to have good sense of humour about the 'Friday afternoon' feel about the finish the other niggles mentioned above. In its favour, it is essentially very easy to use. The only peculiarity in actual function is that any given long exposure, say 30 seconds, shows up as a second less on the image file. This might not be related to the timer specifically, and it's pretty easy to correct if its an issue.

Despite the slightly uncaring nature its manufacture, it works fine and has helped produce some great photos.

This is a brilliant little thing to have in my camera bag. Well worth the few pound; ordered it to try some time lapse photography and it's working out great. Very easy to use and program, highly recommend this.

I love this remote. It does what it's supposed to and it is light and well constructed. Trusted name and wasn't expecting more than that
