Interesting ideas, but thin to the point of starvation on statistics to prove the theory.

Some interesting ideas for finding big priced winners, mainly from the national press. Certainly not a system and you could easily find yourself with several possible selections for every race. Although the author does give some examples of long priced winners and placed horses selected, there is no detailed assessment at all of profitability, strike rate or ROI. The reader is left entirely to his own devices as to which, if any selection to back. It's a cheap booklet, may be of interest to the experienced punter looking for a possible edge. Mr Dixon assures us he makes decent profits and I have no reason to doubt him. However there are plenty of other books out there where the systems highlighted come complete with a breakdown of results, covering up to 3 seasons. They inspire much more confidence.
