The game is amazing, great story, graphics, easy to pick up, very long play time, and even when you have finished the campaign there is hours of things to do.
Pros - Graphics Long play time Story Characters Delivery
Cons - On one mission, the sheer amount of explosions means that the framerate suffers a lot on the consoles, I was going as low as 10 FPS. After the mission the image was stuttering, so I had to reset the console, and it sorted itself out. This a problem with the game itself, as it is so graphically intensive on the older console systems. Minor detail, if you take fall damage, and do a self heal, you remove a bullet from your arm, or pull a shard of glass out your hand...
I give 5 stars because the game IS fun, but it's far from perfect. The main gameplay can be perfectly described as Just Cause 2 as a FPS. It also has the same main defect: it is quite repetitive. The second game that comes to mind is Skyrim, because of some RPG action and the stealth vs brute force approach, but it's nowhere near the vastity and storytelling of the Bethesda game. Finally, the main story, which is great in its development and didn't disappoint me. The impression I got from the game is that they tried to put together too many different game types creating a geat game overall, but without finishing to polish it, so none of the aspects get deep enough. Even if I enjoyed the game very much I kept asking myself: why they didn't do this better? Why the caves aren't bigger so that they become. A sort of dungeon, each with its own story like in Skyrim? Why are the mini games always the same, go there and kill the guy with a knife? Why the herbs are so clearly indicated on the map? Why go hunting if after 2/3 kills I have every skin I'll ever need in the game?

Take out the hero jason and insert lara croft and you have Tomb Raider 2013 (presumably THEY liked the storyline) This is 2yrs earlier but a much bigger and better game. The multiplayer is excellent as well. This is all that TR should have been (and TR is also a good game)
