Although he's well into his eighties, Tom Paley still has plenty of music left in his voice. There's a great mix of stuff here, much of it traditional, which should appeal to anyone who likes old timey and American folk music. There's a feeling of joy running through this - you can sense that there was fun being had while the tracks were being recorded. The musicianship is superb, with Tom Paley's excellent banjo and guitar work backed up by a more than able support team. I would recommend you check out Jason Steel's solo work (and why Ben Paley isn't one of the biggest names in fiddling today is completely beyond me). Whisky, women, heartbreak etc. What's not to like?
