All that I expected from the oldies with some remarkably good recording for the time. I enjoy the playing of the maestro and there are some numberes that I do not have in my collection

Back in 1925 - 1928 this young trumpeter guy got together various combos to make the music he loved best and influenced a whole new generation of musicians.
That this music sounds so relevant today is testimony to the enduring pleasure found in the early blues recordings of the aforementioned Mr Louis Armstrong

Nobody else blew that thing quite like him and these gentle recordings so carefully archived over 80 years later can make the hair stand up on your neck and maybe make you yearn for a simpler time.

This collection is a real must for anyone wanting to trace the history of the Blues

In my opinion, the Hot Five sides are, quite simply, the best jazz recordings of all time.
