TOP 1000 REVIEWERon 23 November 2013
I ordered two of these. The first was brilliant, the second was rubbish.

The first tooth is about 2.5 " and I am very happy with this. There is no guarantee if you order that you will get the same size. These usually have a range of sizes and it is quite likely that I got one extreme and the other reviewer got the other. This is not a standardised product in which the manufacturer can guarantee that every specimen sold will be similar. In fact it the one of kind nature of these things that makes them so appealing. Also the Spinosaurus teeth on the market for children all the smaller ones. The big ones are worth a fortune. The 1st tooth was in very good condition as well.

The second was horrible. It was smaller and the tip blunted, but this fits into the range of things to expected in this grade of fossil. What wasn't expected was to be sent a tooth which had broken in half and was very carelessly glued without lining up the broken bits. It would have been better to have just arrived broken as even my children could have done a better repair job and with a bit of super glue I could have done a very good job. Broken and repaired fossils are nothing out of the ordinary for this grade of fossil, but they should be glued back together properly, with the broken ends lined up. It was as if the person doing the repairs wanted to make sure he didn't spend more than 15 seconds on any particular piece. It appears that it is all down to luck of the draw with this company.

Although I admit it's hard to gauge sizes from a photograph, I was expecting something larger than a thumb nail as a Spinosaurus tooth, given that the Spinosaurus was one of the largest meat eaters to walk the earth. My son had put this on his Christmas list but it didn't make it to his stocking. His other collection of dinosaur teeth are all relatively size appropriate to the size of the dinosaurs. However, in saying that, from what I can remember this was a really cheap item so in hindsight I shouldn't have ordered it in the first place. Won't be using again.

This is decent enough product for a vary reasonable price.
It is a small fossil but for a low price so is what I was expecting.

Bought this for my little niece who is deeply into fossil collecting. She was pleased so it must be ok.

This item is smaller and slimmer than I expected but my son who has a sudden interest in the platypus is so happy with it. It hasn't ripped after all the snuggling and playing with it. Would recommend.
