The manual (if required) has to be downloaded from Philips web site. Installation is quick and eay. The picture is excellent and the sound is good for a small screen TV. The earphone socket has a seperate volume control working independently of the built in speakers. I have accessed YouTube (via a cable to the modem)and displayed pictures from a USB stick with no problems - a good set but(in my opinion) let down by the program quide which only shows two programs per channel (current and next). It doesn't use the coloured buttons for navigation and changing the day is cumbersome as you have to use the options key. It requires a major software update. With a better program quide I would give this product 5 stars
Nice little set. Picture quality is good. Sound is fairly good, about as much as you can expect from a set of this price. Set up is straight forward and logging onto the network presented no problems. It takes a while to load in the libraries and subsequent commands are slow to take effect but once complete navigation is smooth and worked well, even YouTube.
The real let down is the EPG - monochrome and not very contrasty at that. Quite the worst I have seen. Some menus are laborious - poorly designed.
Having said that, I still like it and at the price is reasonable.
Installation was straightforward and the picture quality is fair (though not brilliant). The User Interface Design is its main weakness, menus are ill designed and tricky to navigate, and the Electronic Program Guide is pretty poor - really not easy to get an overview of what's on. Without the interface and EPG issues I would have gone for 4 stars, but it really is let down.
