This is a scene for scene remake of the John Woo 1986
film. The original kick-started Woo's career as an action
film director, that in it's own why changed action cinema.
This version isn't a bad movie, but it doesn't do what the
first movie did, which is, something new...

This movie is only for hardcore Asian cinema fans, which I
am one. There many Asian/Korea films that are better than
this movie, (I would suggest This Bittersweet Life) but there
is also lot worse...

There are some interesting ideas in this movie (setting the story within the context of North and South Korea works well), and overall, it is a decent action movie, but nothing more.
The problem is that action scenes lack intensity as does the story overall.

The original was much better.

Good film. Not as good as John Woo version with Chow Yun Fat, but still worth watching.

Average 3d in an ok movie, watch before you buy, to see if it's worth, or go watch the original (it's a remake)
