Another good read, tho poorly edited
on 28 July 2015
Book two of the series and again, it's a great read. The story is linked with the previous enough for you to feel settled into a familiar world as you read, and yet you could probably pick this up as a stand alone read too.
I don't like the heroine, Willow, as much as I liked Chloe in book one. When the book starts, she's a likeable character and I want her to be the strong, kick-ass girl she starts off as. But as the story progresses, Willow gets to be a bit whiny and annoying. You KNOW she'll cave to Lyonis' advances eventually (otherwise there is no story, obvs!) but she doesn't have a good enough reason to resist him and it gets on your nerves a bit, waiting for her to finally give in.
As with book one, the editing is dreadful. Missing words, grammatical errors, spelling mistakes. All annoying, all distracting. I hope all T.A. Grey's books aren't edited so poorly - they really are good enough to deserve better care.
Despite that, I enjoyed the book. The Alpha is delicious, the storyline is compelling. I love the fact that characters from book one are still making appearances and that we are teased with cameo roles by the characters to come in book three. It adds a cohesion to the series which enhances the story.
