Broke before 3 years old and has niggles
on 5 July 2017
When I first got this it was great. Steam visible came out. Floors dry in minutes. I tried always to remember to remove and empty the containers of water, and leave them off of it when not used. Though there were times I forgot. Then I didn't use it for about a year.. when I got it out and reused it a few weeks ago, it would not give hardly any steam. So spent £8.18 on new filters and replaced the old ones. Still rubbish. No steam. I purchased this in May 2014.
Now three years on, and not even used for a year it has conked out. So basically, based on the £60 ish I paid for it, that's £30.00 a year, for two years of use (remember I didn't use it for the third year till a few weeks ago!). Not happy. And actually, having not used it for that year, it really means this breaks JUST outside of your warrenty! Convenient!! I know things do not last these days. But to give a two year warrenty, when you know it will only last that long is a bit of a cheek!
Don't dare use any other cleaner in it because it will void your warranty. The containers get slippery and tricky to put on. And to pull off, which when it's full is not helpful. The hole is to small to easily put water into it. It always has water in the bottom, because of the design of the containers so the water sits in the bottom. So the pipes that suck the water get grimy and dirty.
It steams, but does not remove dirt. So any dirt your Hoover missed will mearly be pushed around and settle in clumps for you to manually remove later. As I have cats and a dog this is yucky, but actually not the steamers fault, it is, after all not a hoover. However, I tell you this so you are aware it happens, as I noticed another review post about this issue.
Please DON'T be fooled into thinking this thing gets into crevices! It doesn't! This cannot go into corners really well, it's curved for a start. And it's shape stops it. The head is quite wide, so any narrow space is an issue. Sometimes you can partially do it sideways, but just so you know. This is not a magic mop!! Only positive thing I will say, is when it steamed, it worked well.
