I was on the point of deleting this book but decided to give it another couple of chapters and I was so glad I did cause by then I had got right into the characters and I could hardly put the book down until I came to nearer the end when I was moved so many times to tears I couldn't read the words. A brilliant story very very moving.

I brought this book for only a few pennies . So I didn't worry if it was going to be good. But it blew me away .i laughed big belly laughs in places a cried buckets in other places. The characters were so well created . In this book no perfect people exist but flawed people trying to do their best to survive their life. But Henry only saw the good. Thank you Cathy

Whilst it's easy to see the ending coming, this is a heart wrenching and lovely novel. The sisters' journey throughout is lovely to watch and Henry is painted beautifully and with such realism that you cannot fail to love him. I was in floods by the end but the sentiment and message was worth it. Ladies: take your eye make-up off before reading!

Got this to read on holiday but although enjoyable was very depressing. Not really holiday reading. Might have appreciated it more if it had not been chosen as a holiday read

I enjoyed this book very much. It was unusual. Both funny and sad in parts.

This book is well written and will take you on a roller coaster of emotions. From laughing out loud to sobbing and feeling the trauma of a very dysfunctional family to hope for a better life. A rare find!

A wonderful insight into a totally dysfunctional family that we can all relate to in varying degrees.
Prepare to laugh and cry as you read.
