This is an easy-to-construct dolls house with 2 main floors, a loft room and two staircases. The front opens up using two doors and the roof front lifts up make that floor visible. There's lots of little windows and it's all made of wood, circa 5mm thick.
The construction is easy although I'm a little suspicious of the fact that the only screws are for the roof hinge and a window for the loft. The sides and floors all slot in and I'm concerned that over time a child will take it apart although it's not that easy. It is expensive (although we did get it in a sale).
The Rosebud collection has lots of separate rooms you can get to fill the doll's house all of which are made of wood and beautifully constructed (there are some small parts though for them so be careful)
My daughter, aged 2, already really likes this dolls house and I expect to see many years of enjoyment ahead. It is quite expensive for what it is, but given the longevity and size of this dolls house I would definitely recommend it. You can get rooms as and when you wish (perhaps being particularly careful with the small parts for younger children). It may also be worth putting it on a base perhaps 10cm off the floor to make it easier to play with. One note of caution is the roof opening and closing - it does seem an obvious place for caught fingers so a sponge on the roof hinge lip may be a good idea.
