I chose this book because I come from a railway family and am so well aware of both the romance of railways and their dangers - indeed how dares like this can effect the drivers of trains, on whom the passengers depend for their lives.
So though it was the setting that drew me, I was quickly involved in the storyline. The dreadful result of a loss of life on the line is tactfully and cleverly dealt with by a central character who has been through it and is now wanting to earn her angel wings. Though this book has a clear message, it is predominantly a story of achievement and winning through, overcoming the past, and strange as this might sound in view of the storyline, a traditional "coming of age."
A very good read which picks up with authenticity the railway setting, and which I was delighted to find in the Kindle store.
it was a really good book but it would have been much better if it was longer. it was an unusual story and because it was it sort of it got away with it not being that long. l would recommened it to some one that felt like reading something short but good because sometimes short stories are really boring although I would not recommened it to anyone under 10 because it is sort of sad and a bit depressing. All in all it is an amazing read!
