I bought this for my little Stihl 017 which I use for cutting up firewood etc. This seems to be a good chain as such but it did tend to stretch when new quicker than say the equivalent Stihl chain (Yes I do know how to use a chainsaw, I have done for 35 years or so I know how to 'run in' a new chain , I did not overtighten it! ) Another observation is that the drive links are a tad thicker than those on a Stihl chain. When I originally mounted it on The Stihl's own guide bar it was so tight it would not actually move around it . But surprise surprise when I took the guide bar off and replaced it with a new Oregon guide bar it worked perfectly. ( A clever marketing ploy by Oregon ? hmm ) Anyway, it cuts wood and it seems to keep it's edge for a long time between sharpenings . It'll do!
I ordered two of these chains and they arrived on time!! Just what I wanted. The only thing I will say is that the boxes they come in are not good when put through the post as the chains in travel manage to dislodge their way out of the cardboard boxes. Otherwise an excellent product.
